Surgical opportunity in our clinic for management of postburn flexion contracture of the Elbow in children

Methods: Patients from age 9 months to 17 years with postburn elbow contracture where no metabolic derangement were included in the study. After proper assessment and X-ray for the functional impairment the surgical decision was made, depending of the classification of the contracture in Elbow. Skin grafts, local flaps such as advancement flaps, Z-plasties, were used. The patient was called for follow-ups, up to one year after discharge.
